The pulse of life

Music in the African tribes is a mirror of their lives.

No where in any other culture has music made such a part of every day communication.
Together they sit, beat their drums, sing, dance and laugh, thereby communicating with each other.

In all ritual fests, ceremonies, religious initiations, funerals, and any other gatherings in Africa, the African drum is always a part thereof.

What is different in Europe from Africa is that in Africa everyone actively takes part in some form in such an event. Taking part is what it´s all about.

The energy of the rhythm and pulse of their life is so prominent in all they do.

By understanding the different ways in which cultures use music to communicate, we can learn a lot from the world and its people.
